International Society for Stem Cell Research-COVID-19
Dear members of the International Committee,
I hope that you are doing well and staying safe during this uncertain and challenging time. We recognize that this global pandemic will have many long-lasting effects for you and your colleagues, some of which we are just beginning to fully realize. In order to support our members and the stem cell community, the ISSCR is building out a new website page, ISSCR COVID-19 Stem Cell Community Resources, that may be helpful to you and your scientific colleagues right now. These include scientific news and resources about COVID-19, funding information, volunteer opportunities, courses and seminars, resources on how to teach remotely, and other professional development tools.
We know that you are being pulled in many different directions right now. If you have a few minutes, we would like to ask for your help in adding to this resource for the stem cell community, particularly resources that are specific to the country/region in which you are working, as we work toward offering a more comprehensive international resource. We are seeking to learn: What tools have been useful to you and your colleagues? What do you think would be helpful to share with others? Are there resources that don’t exist that we might be able to help create?
In addition, we would love to hear about how you and your labs are responding to this crisis. How has it effected your work and your lab? Are any of your labs or institutes undertaking research efforts relevant to COVID-19? We would appreciate any thoughts you might share as free responses or you can fill out our survey. We will be collecting this information to share so that our community can learn from one another during this time. We know that you are incredibly busy and appreciate any time you have to add suggestions or responses. Please don’t hesitate to let the ISSCR know how we can help you.
Best wishes,
Lynnea Lynnea Brand
